Vicar David Young
David is a 2022 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Mequon, WI). He is serving another year as a vicar (understudy of a pastor) to get more comfortable with the requirements of everyday ministry. He has the blessed opportunity to oversee all aspects of ministry at Divinity-Divine Charity. It is his joy to serve God's people in any way he can. You can reach out to him at the church line: 414-332-7572 or at ddclutheran@sbcglobal.net Get to know him: Vicar enjoys a variety of things, from history to cooking to podcasts to playing piano. But something he loves to do is run─ He has been making it his mission to try as many running trails as he can in the Milwaukee/North Shore area. Reverend Robert J. Dick Rev. Dick graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1984. He became semi-retired in July of 2022 and now serves the congregation as mentor to our graduate student, Vicar David Young. During the time spent in Whitefish Bay he also served 19 years as a Chaplain for the North Shore Fire Department. He continues to serve the congregation in retirement, along with serving our Wisconsin Synod as Chairman for the WELS Chaplain Certification Program and chairman for the Association of WELS Chaplains. Beginning this year in connection with the WELS Chaplain Certification Program he has become an adjunct Professor of Martin Luther College and is teaching an online trauma counseling course. In retirement Pastor enjoys having the time to spend with his wife and with his children and their families. Senior Assistant Karl DeMarce Karl is in his senior year at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, having come to these studies by a non-traditional route, somewhat later in life than most of his classmates. He previously spent twenty years serving in the state judiciary in northern Missouri, and in other positions in public service prior to that. Our Lord has blessed Karl and his wife Brenda with five grown children (Catherine, Marie, Renée, William, and Susannah), and three grandchildren (Jon Claude, Clarity, and James).
